Instant Pot Chinese Beef soup
You can use the same recipe for slow cooker if you don't have a instant pot, just make sure you cook for over 8 hours on High.
Ingredients
8 servings3 lb beef stew meat, cubed into 1 inch
1 Tbl cooking oil
1 (28 oz) can of Crushed tomatoes
12 oz water
1/3 Cup soy sauce
1/2 Cup cooking wine
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
1 tsp Chinese Five spice seasoning
2 Cups carrots, cut into 1 inch length
3 ribs of celery, cut into 1 inch length
1 large onion, cut into 1 inch cubes
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped scallion or cilantro for decor
StepsUse the saute setting on Instant pot, stir fry the beef in cooking oil until brown.
Add in all ingredients except scallion or cilantro and use the pressure cooker setting on "Stew" on Medium and cook for 35 minutes
Once done, quick pressure release (be careful, lots of steam will come out) the pot and your stew is ready!!!
Add chopped scallion or cilantro to your stew and enjoy.
This soup goes great with noodles, rice, or bread as dipping!
